Before turning his focus to historical fiction, Daniel spent over thirty-five years working across all 48 continental states and Canada as a professional audio engineer. Throughout his audio career, he provided sound engineering services for outdoor music festivals, major concerts, political rallies, and lectures. His work placed him behind the scenes with world leaders, U.S. Presidents, and legendary artists—ranging from Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, and the Allman Brothers Band to Ray Charles, Steve Martin, and Dizzy Gillespie.

Living and traveling throughout Arkansas, Daniel began to take notice of the mysterious, ancient earthworks scattered across the region. Driven by intense curiosity to understand who constructed these landforms and why, he embarked on years of rigorous archival research, studying archeological findings and 16th-century explorer journals.

That deep historical dive laid the foundation for his award-winning debut historical novel, Storykeeper. The saga explores the catastrophic 1541 encounter between Spanish conquistador Hernando De Soto and the flourishing Native American nations of the Nine-Rivers Valley, framed through generations of indigenous storytellers. Recognized with accolades such as the Book Excellence Award, Maincrest Media Award, and an Editor’s Choice selection by the Historical Novel Society, Daniel’s writing reflects a lifelong dedication to preserving forgotten voices, rich heritage, and the enduring power of human storytelling.

Today, Daniel continues to research, write, and explore historical sagas from his home in Arkansas alongside his wife.
